These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and FlyForward. They govern your access to and use of the FlyForward membership portal, including all features, content, and services made available through it ("the Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms in full, you must not register an account or use the Platform.
These Terms apply alongside our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. All three documents together form the complete agreement between you and FlyForward. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the Community Guidelines, these Terms take precedence.
If you are under 18, you should read these Terms with a parent or guardian. You confirm that you have the capacity to understand and agree to them.
In these Terms, the following words have the following meanings:
FlyForward is a UK-based charity in the process of registration with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. We operate an aviation-focused membership portal designed to connect students and professionals working in and around the aviation sector.

You must be at least 12 years old to register on the Platform. By registering, you declare that you meet this age requirement. FlyForward does not independently verify ages at registration and relies on your honest self-declaration. Providing a false date of birth is a material breach of these Terms and may result in permanent removal from the Platform.
Members aged 12 to 15 are assigned a Restricted Account. Restricted Accounts have the following limitations, which cannot be changed by the member:
Members aged 16 and above are assigned a Standard Account with access to all Platform features, subject to these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
When a Restricted Account holder turns 16, their account is automatically upgraded to a Standard Account.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when registering and to keep that information up to date. This includes your name, email address, date of birth, and any other information requested during registration. You must not use a false identity or misrepresent your affiliation with any organisation, employer, or institution.
Each person may hold only one account on the Platform. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited, including creating a new account to evade a suspension or ban. All accounts associated with a person engaged in ban evasion may be permanently removed.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must not share your username and password with any other person or allow any other person to access the Platform through your account. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account, whether or not you authorised it.
If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, notify us immediately at info@flyforward.co.uk.
Your account is personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or assigned to any other person. Any attempt to transfer an account will result in it being permanently suspended.
You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date. This includes your professional details, qualifications, and any other information that other members may rely on in the context of professional networking. Do not list credentials, licences, or qualifications that you do not hold.
By using the Platform, you agree to:
The Platform is provided for lawful professional networking within the aviation community. Permitted uses include:
You must not use the Platform for any of the following purposes. This list supplements the prohibited conduct set out in the Community Guidelines and does not replace it.
You are solely responsible for any Content you submit to the Platform. FlyForward does not pre-screen all Content before it is submitted (though it does pre-screen Content from standard members before publication) and is not responsible for any Content posted by members.
All Content you submit must:
Where you include professional information on your profile, such as your job title, employer, qualifications, licences, or memberships, you warrant that this information is accurate and current. Posting false professional credentials is a breach of these Terms and may be referred to relevant regulatory bodies in the aviation sector.
You retain all intellectual property rights in the original Content you create and post on the Platform. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your Content to FlyForward.
By posting Content on the Platform, you grant FlyForward a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, perform, display, and create derivative works from your Content, in whole or in part, in any media format now known or later developed, for the following purposes:
This licence continues after you delete the Content or close your account, to the extent that FlyForward has already incorporated your Content into materials that have been published or distributed. FlyForward will act reasonably in response to requests to stop using your Content going forward, but is not obligated to recall or remove materials already in circulation.
By posting Content, you warrant that:
The FlyForward name, logo, marks, Platform design, software, database structure, and all Content produced by FlyForward are the property of FlyForward or are licensed to FlyForward by third parties. All rights are reserved.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, transmit, or otherwise exploit any of FlyForward's intellectual property for any commercial or public purpose without our prior written consent. You may share links to public Platform content, provided you do so in a way that is fair and accurate and does not imply any association with or endorsement by FlyForward that does not exist.
If you believe that Content on the Platform infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please send a written notice to info@flyforward.co.uk that includes:
FlyForward will respond to valid copyright notices in accordance with applicable UK law. Repeated infringement by a member may result in permanent account termination.
All Content submitted by standard members is reviewed by an authorised FlyForward moderator before it appears on the Platform. No Content is visible to other members until it has been approved. Approval is at the moderator's discretion and is not guaranteed.
All Content on the Platform, including Content posted by Trusted Users, is subject to ongoing monitoring. FlyForward reserves the right to review, restrict, or remove any Content at any time without prior notice.
FlyForward and its authorised moderators have absolute discretion to:
FlyForward is not obligated to give reasons for any moderation decision and has no duty to do so.
FlyForward reserves the unconditional right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove any member from the Platform at any time, for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice, and with no obligation to explain or justify the decision. Membership of the Platform is a privilege extended by FlyForward and may be withdrawn at any time entirely at our discretion. No length of membership, volume of activity, or prior standing on the Platform entitles any member to continued access.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of circumstances in which action may be taken, but this list does not in any way limit FlyForward's absolute right to act outside of these circumstances:
When your account is suspended or terminated:
The right to appeal is a courtesy extended by FlyForward and is not a contractual or legal entitlement. FlyForward is under no obligation to accept, consider, or respond to any appeal submission. Where FlyForward does choose to review an appeal, that review will be conducted by a senior team member and the outcome will be final, binding, and not subject to any further challenge. To request a review, email info@flyforward.co.uk with your username, a description of the action taken, and your reasons for the request. No appeal will be considered for accounts permanently banned for violations involving child safety, CSAM, or matters referred to law enforcement. FlyForward's moderation and termination decisions are not subject to external review, arbitration, or legal challenge beyond what is strictly required under applicable UK law.
You may request closure of your account at any time by emailing info@flyforward.co.uk from the email address associated with your account. Include "Account Closure Request" in the subject line.
You may also request deletion of your personal data by emailing the same address. Include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line.
Please be aware of the following before making a closure or deletion request:
FlyForward takes safeguarding seriously and has designated responsible persons for all safeguarding matters.
Where FlyForward receives a safeguarding concern, or has reason to believe that a child or vulnerable person is at risk of harm, or that illegal activity involving a person's safety has occurred or is occurring, FlyForward will escalate the matter to law enforcement and relevant statutory agencies without delay. This may include UK Police, Local Authority Children's Services, the National Crime Agency, CEOP, and the Internet Watch Foundation. FlyForward is not required to notify you before or after such a referral is made, and will provide all requested data, content, and user information to relevant authorities.
The Platform may contain links to third party websites, services, or resources that are not operated by FlyForward. These links may appear in post captions, forum threads, or member profiles. FlyForward does not endorse, control, or take any responsibility for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third party website or service. You access third party links entirely at your own risk and should review the terms and privacy policies of any third party service you use.
FlyForward uses Supabase to power its database, authentication, and file storage. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your data is processed by Supabase in accordance with their terms and data processing agreements with FlyForward.
FlyForward may display promotions, sponsored content, or advertisements on the Platform from time to time. All such content will be clearly identified as sponsored or promotional. FlyForward does not endorse any advertiser or their products or services, and is not responsible for the content of third party advertisements.
Members must not post their own advertising or promotional content on the Platform without FlyForward's prior written consent. Authorised promotional content must comply with all applicable UK advertising standards, including those set by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FlyForward makes no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
FlyForward does not warrant or endorse the accuracy of any professional claims, qualifications, or credentials made by members on their profiles. You rely on information provided by other members at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law, FlyForward will not be liable to you for:
Where FlyForward's liability cannot be fully excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed one hundred pounds sterling (GBP 100).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits FlyForward's liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
You are solely responsible for your conduct on the Platform, the Content you post, and any consequences that result from your use of the Platform. FlyForward is not liable for any harm you suffer as a result of your own actions or the actions of other members.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlyForward and its trustees, officers, employees, staff, volunteers, and partners from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
Before commencing any legal proceedings, you must contact FlyForward at info@flyforward.co.uk and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter informally. FlyForward does not guarantee a response within any particular timeframe and is not in breach of these Terms for failing to respond to informal complaints. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties remain free to pursue their legal rights through the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause prevents FlyForward from seeking immediate injunctive or other urgent relief from a court without prior notice.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if such modification is not possible, it shall be severed from the remaining Terms. The rest of the Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
FlyForward's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of a breach of these Terms must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of FlyForward.
These Terms, together with the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FlyForward in relation to your use of the Platform. They supersede all prior representations, discussions, negotiations, and agreements between the parties relating to their subject matter.
FlyForward may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to another entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, without your consent. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to any other person.
FlyForward may update these Terms at any time. Where we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a notice on the Platform. We may also require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Platform. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Platform and request account closure by emailing info@flyforward.co.uk.
