FlyForward has a new identity, and it's not just a fresh coat of paint. Everything you see today: the typography, the palette, the structure of how we communicate, has been rebuilt from the ground up with one question at its centre, who does this need to speak to?
The answer, it turns out, is a lot of people. Students at the start of their aviation journey. Industry professionals who want to shape the next generation. Partners and organisations looking for a credible, ambitious platform to work with. The old FlyForward wasn't built for all of them at once. The new one is.
WHY WE CHANGED
Aviation is one of the most exciting industries in the world (and one of the hardest to break into) if nobody's holding the door open for you. FlyForward was created to hold that door open. But to do that effectively, we needed to look and feel like a platform that belongs in the same conversation as the industry it's trying to connect people to.
Our previous identity was functional. It did the job. But it didn't communicate the ambition behind the mission, and it didn't give industry partners or professionals the confidence that this was a serious, credible organisation worth investing their time in.
We're not a student blog. We're a bridge between young people and real aviation careers. And we needed to look like one.
— FlyForward TeamWHAT'S ACTUALLY NEW
THE VISUAL IDENTITY
We built a design system that can carry weight across everything; articles, events, social media, partner decks, and beyond. Deep navy backgrounds that evoke a pre-dawn flight deck. Sky blue accents that cut through like a clear horizon. Display typography drawn from aviation's own aesthetic language: bold, technical, precise. Every detail is intentional.
THE ARCHITECTURE
The new site is structured around three distinct journeys; for students, for industry professionals, and for partners. If you're a student, you'll find career pathways, work experience guides, and a blog written by people who've actually done it. If you're a professional or partner, you'll find a clear, confident case for why FlyForward is the right place to direct your investment.
Free membership. Real connections. Guides, opportunities, and a community of people who've navigated the same path you're on; and came out the other side with careers.
Direct access to the UK's most engaged youth aviation audience. Students who are serious, hungry, and ready; and a platform that reflects the professionalism of the industry itself.
THE CONTENT STRATEGY
The blog you're reading right now is part of something bigger. Every article is designed to do two things at once: give students genuinely useful insight, and demonstrate to the industry that this audience is worth investing in. Career stories. Work experience guides. Industry takes. Real voices from people working in commercial aviation, general aviation, air traffic control, aerospace engineering, and everything in between.
BUILT TO LAST
A rebrand isn't meaningful unless what's underneath it is solid. So alongside the new look, we've rebuilt the technical foundation of FlyForward to be faster, more maintainable, and easier to grow. Pages load in under a second. The blog system is designed so that new articles can be published in minutes. The whole thing is built on clean, documented code that won't need replacing in a year.
We're also building with longevity in mind institutionally. FlyForward is registering in the UK, run by a team that genuinely cares about aviation access, and structured to remain free for students no matter how large the platform grows.
The goal isn't growth for its own sake. It's a generation of young people who got into aviation because someone built them a proper runway.
— FlyForwardWHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
If you're a student: welcome. Everything here is for you. Read the blog, join the membership, reach out; the community is here and it's growing.
If you're an industry professional: we'd love to feature your story or perspective. The pitch form is open. Your voice matters to the people coming up behind you.
If you're a potential partner or employer: get in touch. We're building the most engaged youth aviation audience in the UK, and we want to connect them to the right opportunities.
The skies aren't out of reach. They never were, they just needed a better map. This is that map.
